About Daniel Castro

''When I was 6 years old, I was drawing on paper and someone told me ‘Did you know it’s possible to make drawings on the skin that never wash off?’ – this was my first time finding out about tattoos and I have been fascinated ever since.''

Daniel grew up always enjoying drawing but life eventually took him to follow another area. He majored in electrotechnical engineering and right after his graduation he got an internship with promises of a career. Fortunately for him those promises weren’t fulfilled and he took that as an opportunity to invest in his dream of becoming a tattoo artist.

He enrolled on a tattoo course, trying to get the best guidance to safely enroll on his new adventure and started what is now his career. The road wasn’t always smooth, but hard work always pays off.

He started off on his own and built his way into owning his own studio in Portugal and to travel around the world to do his art. Along his years of experience he developed a very unique style with line work as foundation with inspiration from different artists that he was fascinated by as a kid, like comic book artists, manga artists, and even renaissance artists as well. Now he focus mainly on anime thematics in mangá style, because he will always be a geek at heart, looking for the next challenge to improve his skills.
